With the Covid pandemic ongoing, we opened to the public on the 23rd of May, 2021.
With new displays, and a major spring clean, the team were eager to welcome guests to step back in time to the 1940's
The team getting ready to start the day (and the Jeep, by the looks of it!).
"You nod your head when you're ready, and I'll hit it..."
Ready for action.
Fabulous day at the Tower, with
"The Moonlight Raiders" and
Bob the Bayonet
58 members of the public through the gate and the weather held out for most of the day. Thank you to all the volunteers and visitors for making this a great day.
After a visit from a local primary school to have a look around the tower, the children could not wait to go back to class,
and draw some pictures.
As you can see, some brilliant drawings.
Thank you to Mrs Sturgeon, and Pine Class, from
Rougham Primary School.
Talking of great pictures, these are amazing.
Paul was in a bad car accident a while back. Against the odds, he pulled through, and sent these great drawings through to the tower.
We wish Paul all the best in his recovery.
A couple of visitors dropped into the airfield, on their way to The Old Buck Airshow
Then we had a flypast by a Hurricane going to the same show!
It was eyes to the sky, as a Supermarine Spitfire flew over the Tower in a spectacular flypast, on Sunday, August the 15th.
"Never, in the field of human conflict, was so much owed, by so many, to so few..."
With the Museum Jeep on the road again, the Tower team were invited to attend the The Suffolk Car Show. Graham, Wendy and Paul were only to happy to talk about the Tower, and it's displays.
