In March 2024, we visited The Guildhall in Bury St Edmunds, along with our display table. Thank you to all who came to see us. Really great to meet you all.
The RTA Committee would like to thank the Bury Retro Car Club for a great turnout for their first run of the year, it attracted a vast number of visitors with nearly 200 through the gates, they also very generously donated half the takings
from the BBQ to the Museum.
They had a vast array of cars in the club, from 40's American to VW Golfs and everything in between. Your welcome any time guys.
Fantastic day at the 1940's Tea Dance at the Tower yesterday, not even the awful British weather was able to dampen the enjoyment had by all with great music, wonderful singing by Sarah Mai and plenty of dancing.
The Tea Dance went ahead as the rain Lashes down as the dance floor was laid in the large Nissen hut. Graham Sage did sterling work with his BBQ and what appeared to be Hundreds of Burgers and Hot Dogs were devoured. The rain finally gave up in the evening and everyone went home better off for the exercise.
We have many items on display in the Museum, but as a heavy bomber base we've never had a bomb.
This will be an asset to the displays, we can't thank Chas Jellis enough
for supplying this.
All we need now are 3 practice 250 pounders and a 1000 pounder to finalise a future planned display.
"Thank you all for everything yesterday. We all had a lovely time at the tower. Thank you for your hospitality and all your help parking vehicles up. Nearly a 1000 people at the tower was amazing! Lee."

Painting the roofs of the Nissan huts.
Not so much painting the town red, as painting the huts black!
We had the pleasure of meeting Don Miller author of "Masters of the Air" and Kirk Saduski Executive Producer of the TV series at the Guild Hall in October. We also got four books signed for the library at the Museum.
Great guys, and we hope to meet them again in the future.
More items we received from the USA. We really do appreciate the families of the 94th, sending these items to us.
Before leaving the UK Lt Johnson obtained a little memento of his time at Rougham, namely the Briefing Room sign from 410 squadron!. After all these years being displayed with pride in the family home John and his sister reached out to us to ask if we would like to have the sign at the museum? Needless to say we jumped at the chance to
